Yorkville Cellars

Mendocino County, CA
The most Awarded California Winery using certified Organic Grapes

Yorkville Cellars is located in Mendocino County, 100 miles north of San Francisco. You’ll find our vineyards surrounding our tasting room on Highway 128, a picturesque road that winds past sheep ranches, vineyards and apple orchards before plunging through the redwood forest to emerge at the Mendocino coastline.  Our Hillside organic vineyards have been certified since 1986, so we do not use synthetic chemicals or artificial pesticides.

Here you will find the only winery to grow and produce all eight Bordeaux Grapes each as a varietal: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon. Malbec, Merlot, Carmenere, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, & Cabernet Sauvignon

Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Estate Grown Grapes from our Randle Hill Organic Vineyard, Yorkville Highlands
Blended with 25% Semillon. Less than 1,500 cases produced
“Notes of grapefruit, fresh cut grass, and a bit of lemon zest can be discovered on the nose. Lively citrus flavors combine with a few grassy suggestions, and a hint of white pepper on the palate. A bright, crisp, dry wine
but it’s not too sharp, as there is plenty of fruit too. A great choice for fans of fresh slightly grassy Sauvignon Blancs.”

Rosé de Franc 2011

Estate Grown Grapes from our Rennie Organic Vineyard, Yorkville Highlands
95% Cabernet Franc with 5% Malbec Less than 500 cases produced
“Aromas of red berries, rose petals, and an allusion of sweetness greet you on the nose.
A sip offers lush strawberry, cherry, and watermelon flavors accented by some lovely floral hints.
A lush wine that still has a nice fresh acidity, it’s not sweet, and it’s not overly dry like so many Rosés.
A great picnic wine, especially with turkey sandwiches.”

This is the only wine we produce which is not completely from estate grapes.
Our objective was to produce an accessible everyday house wine at an attractive price.
From the bench lands above the Russian River in inland Mendocino we have selected organically grown Zinfandel to blend along with grapes from our ranch. Fruity flavors with a gently spicy finish come together to create a real crowd
